Finally a decent MySQL client for iOS. Very nice.

Best Mysql-client in iOS

Great app. Full of functionality, fast, very useful. You can do nearly everything you desire. My recommendation, and I have tried many others...

Great program!!

I have desktop version too. This the best tools to DB. High recomended!

Broke application

Broke application! Earlier it worked, and now not коннектится nor to the same database, even test mode does not work! Fix! Error appeared нще in the last version of the application! Update from August 28, not help!

not fully functional

unable to add ssh private key

Overall really great

Overall this app is perfect for doing MySQL administration from my phone. My only issue is the app isnt very intuitive. You have to do a little digging to figure out how to use everything. But once you get comfortable with how everything works, this thing is really nice and powerful. Handles everything Ive needed to do this far, and does it at a surprising speed. Being a developer myself, this is definitely going in my toolbox of must haves on my phone.

Great app.

It has everything I need and it does its job for normal database operation, though would be great if Touch Id is supported.

Works great

Does everything I need to work on our MySQL server. Swipe right to edit or delete a connection... Another reviewer didnt think that was possible.

Premier Choice

I wouldnt recommend anything else. Works incredibly well on the go. Looks amazing too. +1 for Touch ID support, though the passcode works well too.

Dont update to the latest version!!!

The app worked beautifully until the latest update. Now, none of my connections work. Very frustrating!

Great App

Its like having MySQL Workbench on the go. Fantastic App

External Connection Fails

I purchased the application because combined with Navicat Cloud ability to work from anywhere was touted. While on the same network as the MySQL server there isn’t issue but once on an external network a connection cannot be made. This is confusing as the expectation is that communication with the ‘cloud’ would be all that was required. If establishing a tunnel to the server is required it is difficult to comprehend what the ‘cloud’ feature is. While on the same network it works well which drives the 2-star rating. If not able to work off the local network the cost of the application is too high.

Greatness, and a lemon...

Great app, syncs well with desktop version. Unfortunately it only works in portrait mode, so setting it up on an iPhone 6 Plus with bluetooth keyboard is useless unless you can read sideways.

Decent app

I love the desktop based version of Navicat. The ui in the mobile platform needs a bit more love. Good to manage simple things on the fly.

Features are hidden in menus

I was initially disappointed with this app until I found some features hidden in swipe menus on db, table, etc. Here are some ESSENTIAL features Navicat is missing: . No way to clear a FILTER once set!! . Synchronize from a source dB to a target dB (like phpMyAdmin) . Backup/Restore of entire dB or selected tables and upload/download to/from Mail, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud, etc. . Table list with Action icons, stats such as Record count, Type, Collation, Size, Overhead, etc., search boxes right under column headers (see MySQL Mobile Database Client app and its ability to use tapped column header names and real column values in search criteria), default sort by PK/unique index DESCENDING so latest records are on the top . Table operations such as Move, Synchronize to another dB, Export, Import, save Search Criteria to re-execute later, save Filter and Sort expressions and reapply them (or make them as configurable options) when the table is loaded next time ... . Table Inspector (Info, foreign keys, Grants at the very least), Space Usage, Row Statistics . FREEFORM view of one record at a time in vertical layout (offers only list view of multi-records) - see MySQL Mobile Database Client app, phpMyAdmin, etc. . Drill down from list view into free form layout and INTO other FK related tables AND data from previous table/record (see MySQL Mobile Database Client app and try their Demo MySQL Server with FK relationships - simply tap a row in list view and then tap column values in freeform layout) . Pseudo Row NUMBER (running count) as the first column in row-list, table-list and EVERY layout that has list . Page-Count in list view. Use SQL_CALC_FOUND_ROWS to fetch row count and compute page count from it. . Keeps going to next page beyond last record showing empty pages on tapping Next! . No way to skip pages as there are only previous/next icons that navigate just ONE page at a time!! No way to, for example, jump to page 5 or page 10 while navigating 100 records per page. Offer pagination links/icons and a dropdown of page numbers to select and jump to selected page. . Queries do not use row limit from Settings - they return all rows without pagination. . DEMO database to play with (see MySQL Mobile Database Client app and try their Demo MySQL Server) . THEMES - a dark, stealth theme with peacock blue and mint green graphs would look awesome!! See Coda FTP app. . Navicat Cloud -> Why is this necessary? Why cant they simply re-use iCloud and relieve themselves from the responsibility of maintaining their own SECURE server for it?? Why would anyone trust a 3rd-party server to sync profiles? Ill update my star rating to 5-stars when these features are implemented and made available. We want to see Navicat as a powerful and go to app

Best MySQL client for iOS

This is by far the best client for iOS. I have tried the "MySQL" app and it is a bit buggy and slow. This one works way better and is fast. You can even sync connections between devices.

No export option

There is no option to export query results.

Only Missing Exports and Imports Otherwise Excellent

This is by far the best app for working with mysql databases - especially when working with them over SSH connections secured by a key.... except you cannot import or export the data. Others have stated this on their reviews and I have to agree - there are free MySQL connectors that will do exports to CSV... it is so weird that this polished of an editor would be missing this feature. I own Navicat for the Desktop and love it.

Split Screen Update?

Love the app! Seamlessly handles pesky key changes when AWS servers get swapped out. Very useful for quick DB edits or references. Just wish I could do iOS split screen mode. I use this along with Navicat for PostGreSQL and would love to use both, side by side, like I do on the Mac.

My previous review was misinformed

Support got back to me and explained how to do all the things I couldn't figure out. This is a fine way to connect securely to and manage your databases and really the only viable alternative as of today for doing so with MySQL on your iPad.

MariaDB

Was useful until migration to MariaDB, though still possible, but annoying, to create duplicate connections as MySQL. Interface is rather cryptic. Plenty of room for improvement.

Best MySQL Client out there

Since slowly transitioning the majoroity of my development workflow to my iPad pro, I've been searching for a robust MySQL GUI and for now Navicat is the only worth while solution currently available. It's rock solid and supports everything you may need and then some. Running queries, sorting, editing, perfect. I feel compelled to write this review to urge Navicat to continue to support this product as I'd be in bad shape without it. Thank you Navicat and keep up the great work in the iOS version. PS: I use this with MariaDB and it works perfectly.

No export :(

One of the features I love about the desktop version of Navicat is the ability to export query results to CSV for reports. This is essential in my day-to-day, yet this feature is missing. I was surprised, too, since the cost of the app is so high compared with other MySQL apps that do have export features. Every other feature I wanted from Navicat iOS is there--including connecting via SSH tunnel, which works great. No other complaints. Just please please please add the export. If you add that, between this and CODA I can do most of my work mobile on an iPad Pro. Exporting CSV to email as an attachment as well as saving to an external service like Dropbox would be excellent.

Almost, but not quite.

1. Can't delete a connection. 2. Can't edit a connection. 3. Sparse support.
